A focus on Ways of Working 

A high performing team at AstraZeneca were achieving unprecedented outcomes and wanted support to ensure their performance remained strong but not at the cost to their people.

What we did:

We partnered with an industry expert, Sapience Consulting, to deliver a comprehensive Ways of Working program over a 6-month period that resulted in practical tools and solutions that the team could adopt to improve their experience at work.

  • Conducted focus groups with the team to map their strengths and opportunities against the Nimble Index
  • Analysed a range of data points to understand drivers of Nimble Index outputs
  • Facilitated a team workshop to land key strategic artefacts (team values, team charter) and define priority areas in ways of working and systems and processes
  • Conducted three rapid improvement projects with three team members, coaching them to lead and land key outcomes
  • Conducted a final workshop focused on growing the team’s strategic capability and leadership mindset

The result:

Six months post-implementation, our impact analysis revealed team members showed continued commitment to implementation, driving through to delivery the key outstanding items at the end of the engagement.

Specifically, 86% of survey respondents saw sustained improvement to the way the team ran meetings; and 71% agreed there was sustained improvement in the way the team used systems
